Lucia Caminos is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI and the first female lead of a mainline 3D GTA game. She is the first character players met in Trailer 1 (December 2023), in a prison interview at the Leonida Department of Corrections.
According to Rockstar Games, Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out, and she has decided that only smart moves will do from here.
Lucia’s story is tied to Jason Duval. Rockstar describes their partnership as a criminal relationship in which an easy score goes wrong and pulls them into a conspiracy across Leonida. Trailer 2 (May 2025) and the 2026 launch trailer focus on their bond and the risks they take together.
