GTA 6 Xbox Series X|S: Everything You Need to Know

GTA 6 Xbox Series X|S: Everything You Need to Know

Quick answer: GTA 6 launches on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 19, 2026. It is not coming to Xbox One.

Xbox key facts

Series X vs Series S

Both consoles are supported. The Series S has less graphics power and memory, so expect lower resolution than on Series X. Rockstar has not published performance targets for either console. See GTA 6 Xbox Series X Performance.

Is GTA 6 on Game Pass?

No. Rockstar and Microsoft have not announced GTA 6 for Game Pass. Rockstar’s new releases have historically launched as full-price purchases.

Physical copies

Official edition details state boxed copies include a download code rather than a disc. That means the disc-less Series S can use a boxed copy’s code.

Getting ready

• Pre-order digitally to pre-load (expected from November 12, 2026).
• Make sure you have enough free storage; consider an expansion card for the Series S.
