GTA 6 Map Size Compared to GTA 5

GTA 6 Map Size Compared to GTA 5

Quick answer: Rockstar has not announced GTA 6’s map size. Fan mapping projects based on trailer footage suggest Leonida is larger than GTA V’s Los Santos and Blaine County, but these estimates are unofficial.

What we can compare

GTA V GTA 6
State San Andreas (Los Santos and Blaine County) Leonida
Main city Los Santos Vice City
Rural regions Blaine County, Mount Chiliad Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga
Official size Widely cited at around 80 km² of land Not announced

Why size is not everything

Rockstar has emphasised density and detail: more enterable buildings, crowds and wildlife. A slightly larger but much denser map could feel far bigger than GTA V.

Water and islands

The Leonida Keys and Grassrivers add large areas of water and wetlands, which inflate total map area compared with land-only figures.
